After all these years......

This blog will take you along on my journey as I search for new works from  young creative people all over the world. As I interview and write about  young creative individuals that I come across in my everyday life. Talking to individuals that have a unique voice that's being overlooked by what the main stream media perceives to be "creative" or "unique". Creating a platform for people that usually do not have a means to get their idea to the rest of the world and  to celebrate being individuals. We talk about all forms of creativity from Art to Music to Fashion to Design. Posting interviews and photos of people, places and things that inspire us to be creative, to be human.

 Dual
Dual is a street artist from Houston, Texas. If you live in Houston, then you might be familiar with the Virgin Mary on a Fixed Gear Bicycle. Now and days Dual is trying his hand at fine art. We sat down with Dual at a undisclosed location, to ask some getting to know you kind of questions....

Us: How early in your life did you start making art ?

Dual:I know I've been drawing since I was really young. I used to try and copy my old man while he drew anatomical drawings dealing with medicine. It made me become obsessed with bones and whatnot. Can also remember getting whooped for drawing on the walls of our house. Mom wasn't to kind on that...

Us: Who are your influences ?

Dual: Right now I'm really feeling Meggs and Lister from Australia, but everything around me, from bikes to clocks to the music I listen to, influence my work.

Us: What's one of your favorite subjects to draw ?

Dual: Im obsessed with using clock in my work. Lots of them! Probably cause when growing up, every room in the house had at least two clocks hanging in it...

Us: What medium do you mainly use ?

Dual: I screen print most of my work, but have leaned more towards mixed media pieces. I myself believe that an awesome contemporary art piece is created using many different mediums.

Us: What keeps you up at night ?

Dual: My bucket, brush and Japanther most nights.

Micro Fiction by Jonathan Jackson

From NY to LA to Miami to You.

There is this dream I have that I am, the fabric of your favorite shirt. That's about as a close you will ever let me get to you. No response to the young boy games I played, the ones that used to get your attention. Now you are a young woman, and those games are way above you now. Growing up is something I always knew that You would do before I did. Just give me a chance, this time my shit is straight and I know where i will run when I am up set with you. This time I will listen to you and make sure that the other girls will be no longer who I run to when we have a problem. You will be the one I talk to when there is something wrong with us. I am not the boy I once was, I am changed, naturally. We have to do things for ourselves and have hope that the ones we want back notice and realize that They're just aren't the same without us. After all the trips I have taken, I always wanted to end up back your arms.
